Binding Google Authenticator can improve the security of your account. This article will show you the process of binding Google Authenticator.
App operation step
Step 1: Open the Webot app and click [Home] - [Avatar Icon] - [Security] - [Multi-factor authentication].
Step 2: First, click [Google Authenticator]. After downloading the Google Authenticator app, click [Next Step], enter the required verification codes, and then click [Confirm].
Step 3: On the next page, copy the "Key" (do not share it with anyone) and click [Import] to automatically add your Key to Google Authenticator.
If you wish to import manually, open Google Authenticator and click [+] - [Enter a setup key]. Set your account name, paste the copied “Key”, and click [Add]. Copying the “Account name” is optional, as you can set it to your preference.
Step 4: After setup, Google Authenticator will generate a six-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds. Enter this code into your Webot App and click [Confirm] to complete the binding process. Record the “Key” in a safe place and do not upload it online. If you lose or uninstall Google Authenticator, you can restore it using the “Key”. Finally, click [Done] to complete the binding process.
Web operation step
Step 1: Log in to your Webot account, click [Avatar Icon] - [Account Settings] - [Set] to enter the Google Authenticator binding page.
Step 2: After downloading the Google Authenticator app, click [Installed. Continue], enter the verification codes, and click [Confirm].
Copy the "Key" (do not share it with others) and paste it into Google Authenticator as shown in these steps to generate the six-digit security codes. Copying the “Account name” is optional, as you can set it to your preference. Enter the generated six-digit code on the web page.
Record the “Key” in a safe place and do not upload it online. If you lose or uninstall Google Authenticator, you can restore it using the “Key”. Finally, click [Done] to complete the binding process.
